Then users will have the option to set the theme to Light, Dark, and System Default. Setting the option to System Default will automatically match the current theme of your operating system. Meanwhile, the dark mode has been available on Google Search for Android for quite some time now, but recently Google decided to bring it onto the Desktop.

This Desktop Dark mode feature is not used by many people, but even then, it is spectacular and it does have a number of benefits, including being a big power-saver. Google started working on dark mode for Search on the web soon after it introduced the feature on Android last year. Now, it is being noted that the company has started rolling out the features across the globe because of its high benefit to desktop users.

It is reported that the Dark Mode theme has slowly started making its way to Google Search users accessing the service on Windows 10 and macOS-powered devices.

It is important to note that, asideΒ from the Chrome browser and app’s dark mode, which corresponds to your device’s dark mode settings, Google search’s beta dark mode is available directly through the Google search bar, so you can potentially use it on Safari, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge browsers.

It is noted that Dark Mode is available in the following:

  • Mac OS 10.14 and up.
  • Windows 10 and up.

How to get Google Search Dark Mode on Desktop done

Below are the steps on how to get Google Search dark mode activated in one’s Desktop device

  1. Go to Google.com.
  2. SelectΒ Settings, located in the bottom-right area of the screen on desktop or bottom of your screen on mobile.
  3. Then Select Search Settings.
  4. Select Appearance and select the option for Dark theme.
  5. Click or tapΒ Save.

Following these steps, one will successfully activate and enjoy the Dark mode settings in their Desktop device.
